Casebound and section sewn. This is not only the strongest, most durable method of binding a book but it is also the most functional as it lays completely flat when open. Perhaps most importantly: it makes the book tamper evident, which is a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirement.

The standard lead time is 2-3 weeks. We can, however, work to deadlines.

We do not have a minimum order quantity. No order is too small.

Yes, we can produce custom made books to your specifications including logos or other graphics/text as well as any book number sequence you require. Furthermore, we keep your book designs and book number sequences on file so reorders could not be easier.

It is important that the paper inside laboratory notebooks and log books will not deteriorate with age. Paper with this certification has been tested for acid-free pH, alkaline reserve (calcium carbonate content), tear resistance, and lignin content. All of these parameters are relevant to the longevity/archivability of the paper. We only use ISO 9706 certified paper in our books.

The mill the paper is sourced from is ISO 14001 certified, the mark of a truly excellent environmental management system. The paper itself is ECF (Elemental Chlorine-Free), PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification), and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified.

It is a fabric based, highly durable, scuff and abrasion resistant cover material with a special coating on it so it can be wiped clean. It is ideal for use in a laboratory or field environment. The Library Buckram we use is specified by many UK libraries and also meets RAL-RG 495, the German standard of quality for library book covers.

Yes, we can construct your books with just about any cover material including imitation leather, bonder leather, or laminate covers over a colour print – allowing you to design book case with graphics.
